Shopping with Mom

Toree and I went on our official girls only shopping trip Saturday. We went to Mitchell to do the normal restock the pantry shopping and since the boys stayed home we did some girl shopping too. We learned the essentials like: look at the clearence racks first, then check out the sales, and finally see if we look cute in it. The only thing that would have made it even better is if Aunt Crystal and cousin Grace could have been with us. We will have to do that when Mommy, Jonah, and Toree go to Council Bluffs for spring break. It was a nice warm weekend up here in the 40's and 50's. So, it was a good day to be out and Jonah was even able to play outside at home.

I'm 3-Months-Old !!!

Well, another month has gone by. Hard to believe that she has already been around for 1/4 of a year. Miss Toree has decided that she wants to sit up. So, we put together the high chair and now she can sit up. The bouncer was not good enough anymore because it sits at a slight angle and she wants to be stright up and down. We tried some rice cereal last night. She didn't quite know what to think of it. She did however enjoy talking to the spoon. She loves to talk and just like any little girl lights up and coo's when she sees her daddy. Daddy has finally stopped calling her "chubbers" and is trying out "giggles". Toree thinks it is funny when daddy calls her "giggles".

Toree and Grace were baptized on the 27th of January. Both of the girls looked beautiful in their gowns. My niece Grace wore my sister's gown. My mom made one for Toree. My baptism outfit was too small for our chunky monkey. It was a very nice day. It was great to have all the family and friends together to celebrate such a blessing. My 31st birthday was also this week. It was also my golden birthday. My sweetheart of a husband sent me 31 fire & ice and peach roses. I have never seen a bouquet so large ( and that is saying a lot because I worked in a floral shop in college). It truly was a great day to venture into my 30's.

Smiles !!!

Toree finally let her mommy catch her ever so cute smile with the camera. We figured out that she likes the flash and will smile if you just keep taking pictures. She has been doing well for Grandma Janice. It is nice to see that if Toree is awake when we drop her off that she smiles and gets excited about seeing Grandma. Mommy still misses her baby during the day. I truly enjoy the weekends when I get to spend all day with her again. Chris is enjoying his Friday afternoons with his princess. Must be nice to work 4 days at nine hours and only have to do 1/2 a day Friday. Chris actually took on both kids by himself this last Friday afternoon. All went well and he even got Jonah to nap.

2 months old

Toree will be 2 months old on Monday. Mommy also has to go back to work on Monday. Toree will be spending her days with Grandma Janice. We are very grateful that Toree will not be going to daycare yet. Toree had her check up and shots on Friday. She is our chunky monkey. She wieghs 13lbs. 12oz. and is 23 1/2 in. long. She was not happy about being poked and let everyone know for a very long time. She cried until we got in the van and were on our way to the grocery store. Compared to her brother at 2 months...She is 1lb. 4oz. heavier and 1 in. longer. Dr. Jeff said she is a very healthy girl. She smiles up a storm until you get the camera and she is starting to make some noise that is not crying once in a while. From the look on her face she would like to say a lot more than what will come out.
